Entries in letterpress (18)

fall fashion.

I recently had the pleasure of printing these calling cards for a client working in the fashion industry. This custom design was a true collaboration and she was a joy to work with. The cards are printed on 110lb. Lettra stock with black ink, as well as a blind impression.

From Jooin: "I received my cards today and they look fantastic!! I'm so pleased with the way they came out. Thank you for being so prompt and easy to work with. You were able to get my vision from one inspirational image, and the suggestions you made turned out so sophisticated and modern. I can't stop looking at them :)."

Into the White

My favorite (and local) artist, Mary Toscano is nominated in the 2010 Artys at City Weekly! I absolutely adore Mary, and her work... it will take your breath away. Into the White was a spectacular exhibit at Kayo Gallery this spring, from the press release:

'Salt Lake City artists Cara Despain and Mary Toscano share an aesthetic that values negative space and the subtle qualities of a hand-drawn line. In the works created for Into the White, showing at Kayo Gallery May 21-June 15, Despain and Toscano accentuate their drawings with color using gesso, watercolor, acrylic, and other media. All the pieces were created with the intention to exhibit at Kayo Gallery, the space’s stark white walls, tall ceilings and long corridor-like room influencing the composition and feel of the full exhibition.'

These are some seriously talented ladies! They also documented the entire process of creating and installing the exhibit. Videos & documentation can be found here at Hankie Frankie

Keep an eye out for their future work, but first, VOTE for Into the White. (deadline is September 2)

d*s post + new website

Many thanks to Grace and her team at Design*Sponge for featuring our recent baptism invites. As mentioned in the post, Printincursive.com was 'in-process'... and perhaps this suggestion was just the kick I needed to motivate a new site!
